Unmatched brilliance and durability with the handcrafted CARAT wax
The Swiss manufactory for car care products, also known as Car Cosmetics, is renowned for producing high-quality waxes for automobiles, motorcycles, yachts, and aircraft.
The SWISSVAX developers set themselves new standards with the goal of creating a wax that pushes the boundaries of what is possible. The result is a product that impresses with maximum gloss, the highest possible protection, and outstanding longevity. This is CARAT.
The Fundamentals
Carnauba is the key ingredient when it comes to achieving gloss on vehicles. Conventional waxes contain between 5–10% carnauba wax. SWISSVAX waxes start at a carnauba content of 30% (SWISSVAX Onyx) and reach up to 76% (SWISSVAX Crystal Rock). Such high levels of premium-grade carnauba wax cannot be processed industrially. This is why SWISSVAX produces each wax by hand, achieving significantly higher quality. Additionally, SWISSVAX is one of the very few manufacturers to incorporate PTFE into its waxes.
PTFE resin (Polytetrafluoroethylene) belongs to the family of paraffin polymers, where hydrogen atoms are partially or completely replaced by fluorine. The original PTFE resin was invented in 1938 by DuPont and trademarked as Teflon. PTFE is extremely resistant to chemicals and has one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any known material.
The Secret of Quality
The latest high-end premium wax, CARAT by SWISSVAX, achieves a carnauba content of 81%, delivering a level of gloss never before attained. In addition, it contains the maximum concentration of PTFE, ensuring extreme resistance against insects, dirt, and other contaminants.
The high gloss and the “hardness” of this wax, like a brilliant gemstone, are expressed in its new name: SWISSVAX CARAT.
This new wax is being launched as a limited special edition. Restricted to only 100 pieces worldwide, it comes in specially designed 100 ml tins. A unique fragrance developed exclusively for CARAT further emphasizes the exclusivity of this product. The first international pre-orders were placed immediately after its pre-premiere.
One 100 ml tin is sufficient for approximately 10–15 applications, depending on the vehicle, and provides protection lasting up to 12 months.
